The cormorant fishing is a seasonal event at Arashiyama.The court style cormorant fishing is held in commemoration 1000 year for The Tale of Genji this year.
It is held until September 15th except August 16th.
鵜飼は長良川が有名ですが、宇治と嵐山でもやっています。嵐山のは源氏物語1000年紀を記念して宮廷鵜飼が開催されてました。
