On last Friday,I have visited Gion Kobu Kaburenjo theater to see traditional Japnese music and dancing. It is first time for me to go to there. The theater builed in 1873 and it famus Miyako-odori ,Cherry blossom dance in April. I enjoyed JORURI,story telling like singing,SANGYOKU,performance syamisen,koto and syakuhachi. Most inpressive is a traditional Kyoto dance ,KYO- MAI dance. The song and performance by the geisha girls The forcible dance by the head of the Kyo-mai dance school. It is very valuable to see beautiful dance and music in nice theatre.
Gion odori (Dances performed by Maiko and Geiko) is held from November 1 to the 10th.
