Heiankyo Sousei-kan

We visited Kyoto city Heiankyo Sousei kan at Kyoto Asney.

It is the center of Heian period exploration. Heiankyo, the imperial capital of Japan was established in Kyoto at 794.We can see reconstruction model of Heian-kyo and the ceramic wall reproduction of Rakucyu Rakugai-zu for folding screen.Especially Rakuchu rakugai-zu painted by Kano Eitoku and it shows in remarkable details the daily life of people in Kyoto.

They are open 9:00am-17:00pm except Tuesday, free of charge.

Enjoy the early history of Kyoto at there.
